All about balls

I don't know how many months ago this all came to fruition, but basically I got this idea in my head. I do not even know how or when it started, but like most things, once its in my head it HAS to happen. So the moment I decided "I want to open my own pilates studio" I knew it would only be a matter of time. I researched, I talked with as many owners as I could and what I kept hearing was "you just have to have some balls and DO IT." And that is what I did.
Since getting back to Massachusetts, I have purchased the machines, the Megaformer (which I say in an Arnold voice), got my agreement with "the man", got my SBA loan going, formed the LLC Boston Pilates Plus, AND just this week have found a location. It looks like Lexington Center is where its going to be!
This is very exciting since I grew up at the other end of the road, across the tracks in Waltham. I wanted to be in a quaint town where I could feel at home while starting this crazy venture. I also wanted to be close to the Minuteman bike trail since triathlon and biking is kind of what got me into this whole thing anyways.
I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen. Each endurance event I completed over the past 8 years has kind of molded this new me. I have taken on plenty of challenges, and none of it comes easy to me, but the work and the sense of accomplishment makes it all worth it. I guess this is the next big challenge for me and I am so ready to take it on.
I can't wait to bring this workout to Massachusetts!
We are looking at a mid December opening with a big push for the New Year.
I look forward to taking this adventure on and making the metrowest leaner, and meaner!
